Tape Edge Machines

Tape edge machines, also known as mattress sewing machines, are specialized industrial sewing machines used to sew tape onto the edges of mattresses, furniture, and other quilted products. These machines ensure a neat and durable finish, holding the layers of the product together and providing a clean edge.

Function:

They attach binding tape to the edges of mattresses, furniture, and other quilted items, creating a finished, durable edge.

Types:

They range from manual machines to fully automatic models with features like automatic lifting tables, adjustable sewing heads, and automated corner sewing.

Features:

Modern machines often include features like automated control systems, real-time monitoring, and adjustable settings to optimize sewing speed and quality.

Benefits:

Tape edge machines improve production efficiency, enhance the aesthetic appeal of the finished product, and ensure consistent quality in edging.

Applications:

Besides mattresses, they are used in the production of sleeping bags, upholstered furniture, and tents.

Tape Edge Machine Tajchem Offers:

Manual Tape Edge Machine:

Simple, easy to use, suitable for beginners, and ideal for smaller production volumes.

Automatic Tape Edge Machine:

Offers higher automation, faster speeds, and greater efficiency, often with features like automatic lifting and tilting of the sewing head, and automated corner sewing.

Single-Needle Tape-Edge Machine:

Uses a single thread to stitch the tape onto the mattress, often with a puller mechanism for smooth feeding of the tape.

Four-Sided Stitching Machines:

Designed to stitch all four sides of the mattress, often with automatic turning and flipping capabilities.

Quilting Machines

Quilting machines, designed for stitching multiple fabric layers together, come in various types, including long-arm, mid-arm, and domestic sewing machines, each catering to different needs and skill levels. Long-arm machines are ideal for large quilts and professional results, but are more expensive and require more space. Mid-arm machines offer a balance of size and capability, being more affordable than long-arm machines but still requiring significant space. Domestic sewing machines, while versatile, may be less efficient for large quilting projects.

Types of Quilting Machines Tajchem Offers:

Long-arm Quilting Machines:

  • Feature a long arm (typically 16-20 inches) and a large throat space, allowing for large quilts and faster quilting.
  • Often used by professional quilters or those working on large projects.
  • Can be free-motion or computerized, offering a wide range of quilting options.

Mid-arm Quilting Machines:

  • Offer a balance between the capabilities of long-arm and domestic machines.
  • Provide a larger throat space than domestic machines, making them suitable for larger quilts.
  • More affordable than long-arm machines but may not have all the advanced features.
  • Can be a good option for intermediate quilters who want more space than a domestic machine but don’t need the full capabilities of a long-arm.

Domestic Sewing Machines:

  • Smaller and more affordable than long-arm and mid-arm machines.
  • May require more effort to maneuver large quilts through the machine.
  • A good option for beginners or those working on smaller quilting projects.
  • Can be equipped with a walking foot or extension table to help with quilting larger projects.
Other Quilting Machines:

Computerized Quilting Machines:

Offer automated features and digital controls for precise stitching and complex designs.

Mechanical Quilting Machines:

More basic, with manual controls, often more durable and easier to maintain.

Space and Budget:

Long-arm machines require significant space and are more expensive, while domestic machines are more compact and affordable.

Experience Level:

Beginners may prefer a domestic machine, while experienced quilters may opt for a long-arm or mid-arm machine.

  • Digital display of gripper positions
  • Forward and reverse motion control of the conveyor belt
  • Motorized up-and-down adjustment of knife guides
  • Option to operate cutters and grippers individually or in synchronized mode for precise trimming
  • Emergency stop push-button for operator safety

Block Processing Line

The block processing line is a specialized machine system designed for the complete processing of short foam blocks using an integrated conveyor. Foam blocks can be trimmed, resized, and converted into shorter blocks with high accuracy and efficiency.

Standard Equipment:
  • Guiding Rollers: Equipped with a set of guiding rollers featuring digital in–out adjustment, ensuring precise alignment of foam blocks at the center of the line.
  • Trimming Section: Two vertical cutting machines arranged in a left-right configuration, capable of cutting widths from 500 mm to 2100 mm.
  • Block Cut-Off Unit: Heavy-duty stationary block cut-off with a precision knife guide, designed for cutting dry blocks. Block length is digitally set through a touchscreen panel.
  • Conveyor System: Conveyor length is customized according to customer requirements for smooth material flow.
  • Horizontal Cutting: A horizontal cutting machine can be integrated in-line for cutting mattresses, featuring touchscreen control and a full-width perforated belt with vacuum suction for accurate cutting and handling.

Block Cutter (Model: BC1400H)

The machine is equipped with a bi-directional guillotine cutting system, enabling it to cut alternately from top to bottom and bottom to top. Cutting speed can be easily adjusted using the AC drive provided in the control panel.

This PLC-controlled machine is positioned at the end of a slabstock foaming line to deliver accurate block cutting, with the block length set by an adjustable photo sensor.

An integrated motorized roller conveyor automatically moves the cut foam blocks onto a subsequent conveyor or trolley, improving workflow and reducing manual handling.
