Base Oil 6cSt

Virgin Base Oil 6 cSt is a high-performance Group III hydrocracked base oil distinguished by its outstanding oxidation stability, low sulfur content, high viscosity index (above 120), and superior low-temperature fluidity. The “6 cSt” refers to the oil’s kinematic viscosity measured in centistokes (cSt) at elevated temperatures, indicating how easily the oil flows—the higher the cSt, the thicker the oil.

This base oil is produced using an advanced Iso-dewaxing process, which significantly reduces sulfur and aromatic compounds. Although often marketed as partly synthetic or synthetic lubricants in some regions, these oils contain no chemically synthesized components and have over 90% saturates. It has a viscosity of approximately 5.8-6.2 cSt at 100°C.

Because of their low aromatic content, Group III base oils have limited additive solubility but offer superior molecular uniformity, stability, and very low electrical conductivity (under 10 pS/m), reflecting their near non-polar nature. These attributes make them well-suited as base stocks for engine oils and advanced industrial lubricants. They are commonly blended with additives and sold as synthetic or semi-synthetic products.

Applications:
  • Utilized in premium engine oils, transmission fluids, and select industrial oils requiring superior stability, low viscosity, and minimal volatility.
  • Commonly employed as a trimming base oil to help finished lubricants achieve targeted low viscosity and volatility specifications.

Base Oil 4cSt

Group III 4 cSt base oil is widely used in the formulation of high-quality engine oils. It is produced through hydro-skimming of unconverted oil under high pressure, resulting in a product with a high viscosity index, excellent low-temperature flow properties, ultra-low sulfur content, minimal aromatic hydrocarbons, and low volatility.

These base oils undergo the most advanced mineral oil refining processes among all base oil groups. While not chemically synthesized, they exhibit exceptional molecular uniformity, stability, and performance. These attributes lead to Group III 4 cSt base oils being widely used as a base for synthetic or semi-synthetic lubricants, with a viscosity of approximately 3.9-4.5 cSt at 100°C.

Advantages:
  • Low Pour Point: Ensures excellent pumpability and quick engine starts even in freezing temperatures, making it suitable for diverse climates.
  • Thermal Oxidation Stability: Minimizes oil oxidation and scale deposits during high-temperature engine operation.
  • Low Volatility: Reduces oil consumption, decreasing the need for frequent top-ups.
  • Extended Oil Life: Offers service life 1.5 to 2 times longer than conventional mineral oils under harsh conditions.
  • Compatibility: Easily blends with mineral oils and synthetic ethers, facilitating versatile lubricant formulations.
Applications:
  • Industrial, hydraulic, and engine oils
  • Drill fluids and related agents
  • Automotive lubricants
  • Functional fluids
  • Transformer oils
  • Automatic transmission fluids (ATF)
